Rip Landing Pages Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is a process of attracting people to a website and eventually earning a commission from sales they make through your own or others'. Landing pages are also like the central connective tissue of affiliate marketing. They are a bridge between prospects and opportunities that enable affiliates to use their creativity as a lever to enhance conversions. If you're an affiliate, having a well-developed landing page will also provide you an edge over other affiliates in the same or similar niche conducting the same or similar promotional campaigns. If you have read our previous articles on this topic, by now you are already well aware of the major differences between landing pages and lead capture pages (or click throughs as we might call them).

In this article we will look at how landing pages are used in affiliate marketing campaigns. We will identify what makes them so different, and how they differentiate themselves from lead capture pages. And we will talk about why they can be a very effective tool for increasing your conversion rates. After reading this article, you should have a good idea how landing pages work in terms of affiliate marketing and what you need to know about optimizing your own campaign for them. So, let's get started.

As discussed above, both landing pages and lead capture pages play important roles in affiliate marketing, but they do it in slightly different ways. When we refer to "landing pages", we are talking about the pages where visitors land after clicking on a link to a merchant's or companies' website. For instance, if you just happened to click on an affiliate products page, you would be on the path of an affiliate marketing "rip". The moment you leave that path, you have gone from being a prospect into a buyer and the product has already been sold.

On the other hand, lead capture pages are slightly more complex. Let's say you happened to open up one of those online survey forms. If you didn't already know about the survey, you probably didn't even have an email address. That's the primary goal of these landing pages - to gather the email addresses of as many prospects as possible in order to follow up with and sell those leads to businesses who have an interest in those particular markets.

So how do landing pages to achieve this? Usually, an interested prospect will fill out a form and submit it. The system will then place that information into an affiliate marketer's database, where it will be constantly monitored. The system will then continually email the prospective customers with new offers and reminders about the offers until the customer decides to join - after all, there is only one person to convince every potential client to buy from them, and that person is them!

The second component to landing pages is the concept of direct linking. This simply means that the ads and links on the page point back to the affiliate merchants main site. Yes, they still use words like "affiliate" and "sale", but for the most part, they will direct a prospective customer straight to the merchant's website. It doesn't stop there. Because affiliates must meet certain guidelines, their sites will also have a link on their landing pages to the merchant's sales site.

Now, let's talk about how to create those leakages. First of all, you can find some ready made leakages through various article submission services and social networking sites. There are also a variety of tools available to make your own leakages. After you have written up your plans starting from scratch, you will need a couple of html editors to build the site up. My favorite html editor is Dreamweaver. Using Dreamweaver is easy; all you do is drag and drop the content from your files onto the page, making sure that everything is contained within the html code.

Next, I like to use my instapage program to promote my website. Instapage is an affiliate marketing page builder and keyword suggestion tool that are free to use. All you need to do is select a theme and copy the code provided into your website. Then set your instapage to auto-post to your blog. The reason I love instapage so much is that it allows me to constantly add new content and keywords without spending any additional time.
